Been browsing OPE on and off all morning.
Just had my second coffee.

I am vaguely trying to force myself to go outside, but the extreme cold wind gusts are making it way to easy to resist the urge.

All my work chains are dull (one loop per saw), I should try and get at least some of them back to proper working condition.
We'll see how the remainder of the day folds out.

Were supposed to get some high winds later today and into tomorrow. Better have a walk around and make sure all my crap is picked up. Last time i had to go for a walk to find my one tarp.

I did some maintenance on 4 of my saws today, PS-550, PS-7310, PS-7300 & PS-7900.
Checked and cleaned AF's, cleaned the inner surface of the clutch drums, oiled the drums needle bearings, topped off fluids, sharpened chains and gave them a test run, a couple cookies each in my last 20ish" oak log.

I figured out the rails on my Ozaki bar got too low, both sides, drive links are bottoming out making the chain cut sideways - I kept thinking the chain was sharpened poorly.
Same issue on one of my Dolmar branded Oregon bars, just one side though.

Two things I need to do, muffler mod my PS-550 and remove the carb limiter's on my PS-7300.

Split some black oak by hand. Rearranged my diminishing firewood supply to get the seasoned stuff separated. Meeting my neighbor later to discuss some electrical issues with our shared water system. Ugh.

Spent the better part of a day putting in a posthole. Yeah, one posthole. I now have a wheelbarrow half full or rocks with some nearly football size. The 3" diameter roots were no help either. I stopped about 6" shallower than I wanted because I hit a rock so large I couldn't find any edges. So that corner post is setting on the rock. now only 9 more to go...

Oh, and just to add to the above, This was a large diameter corner post and when I was finally able to wrestle it into position and drop it into the hole, I was quite pleased with myself as it was too heavy for one person to handle. I was measuring the protruding portion to see if I was down far enough and in the process fumbled my tape measure. It of course found that crack between the post and the hole and went to the bottom. My arm was about 4" too short to reach it and I thought for a while as to whether that was going to be the final resting place for the tape measure. If it wasn't a good 25' Stanley, it would have remained. I finally got the post back out of the hole and extracted the tape with the post hole digger. It was just a great day all around!

How much does the bounty pay?

I'm surprised there ain't a market for the whole pelt. Last time I was at my local Cabelas they were wanting $100 for a skunk pelt.

For each fox i get $10, the fox skin market died out many years back.
Each wild dog scalp is $150
