Who does the warranty work?
We’ve got pro models being sold at Farm and Fleet locally (big box farm store) so it’s not only just Farm Bosses anymore. As far as parts and service I wouldn’t even waste my time asking for a sprocket. It’s sad to see Stihl undercut their dealers further.
That's exactly who. Harry homeowner needs a saw on a Sunday...ope dealers in my area aren't open on sundays, us included...so he cruises to one of these box style farm stores and picks up his 179 dollar ms170 to do his weekend cutting...he's given zero info on how to run the thing...takes it home and immediately runs the thing with the brake on. Monday rolls around and now he's standing in front of me *b-wordin cuz his new stihl just took a *s-word and wants it warrantied. They never take it back to the farm store because they know the service dept. is non existent. Now I'm the prick because that's considered user error and not covered by the warranty. Thanks stihl. Assbags. Keep setting these jaggoffs up though and moving units. Ain't hurtin their bottom line. Either way, compete or die. Rant over.Who does the warranty work? The poor dealer who lost the sale to catalog or box store?
I wonder the same thing about Rural King. I can’t even order parts from mine.Who does the warranty work? The poor dealer who lost the sale to catalog or box store?
I also know some other potentially really big OPE industry news I heard from a good source. Trying to confirm before I say what it is.
It has nothing to do with the equipment it's self. Just how things are done.
If this is true there will be a bunch of people on here laughing and a bunch pissed off.
How is the saying go Steve? As long as the flags don’t hit when the wind blows? Lol
