So what's the story on the 395 piston?

I'd like to stick one in a 2095.

Nah they are the same price but the replated version piston has a 1mm chrome faced ring and the standard bore piston has a 1.2mm ring that isn’t chrome faced. The Chrome faced ring will rip the plating out of non-real nikasil jugs.

I want a 066 54mm version 3.....wait what is version 3? lol
Version one they built without any windows, even though they had a brand new sample piston in hand from us, version two had some other design flaws and never got produced thankfully, version three is currently through the design phase and moved to production at Wiseco, they will be the next model available for sale after the 288 pops out in a few weeks.

Not a finished design yet, but consulting with the smartest guys in the business to try to finalize a light fast design with features that saw builders and racers are looking for, likely at least 6 months till they are in hand to buy, maybe less, but Wiseco are not exactly speedy LOL

Is there any copyright issues in making aftermarket parts that you run into? Do you have to pay any licensing fees to make aftermarket parts. Have you tried to have any top covers made? There is a plastic injection molding place not to far from where I live. I was wondering about getting 266, 254, and hi top 288 covers made.

If they don’t make the saw faster, then Dave isn’t interested in dumping time and effort into it.
