Pat, did you build those spikes yourself? Look good.
Thanks, yes I made them out of a set of the newer style factory spikes. I based them roughly on the 6100. I cut them with a 4” grinder. They are not perfect by any means. That stainless they use is hard to cut.

I liked the way the stock ones looked but they took way too much bar length for my liking. My 28”bar wasn’t even close to that.

Looking for the short filter and a decent filter cover for this early 026. Couldn't even tell what it was when I got it. Cleaned up remarkably well and I't's gonna be a keeper. Thanks for any help.

Think you need "narrow" not "short" filter.

It's narrower to accommodate the early tower style tank vent and actually is a little shorter, too. Doesn't have the hole for the later snorkel style carbs, either. Also came in wire mesh which is NLA unless you have a good doctor. The OEM fleece version is still available from a dealer.

So #6&7?

I just assumed that was the 026 filter. The other is 260. I have OEM flocked & mesh for my saws.

Yes.

The other one (bottom) is the current/common one that actually spans the later 024 up through the MS260 for the newer style tank vents and snorkel carbs.
