OR...does choking the impulse have the same affect as a plugged tank vent when the saw is at high rpm, killing the siphon through the high speed circuit. Here I go again...

With these newer saws it looks like there are many more variables than with the older saws. Cool stuff though. [emoji106]

Oddly enough, any saw I’ve had with impulse issues manifested it with idle and starting more than at wot.

Could tha positive case pressure at WOT keep the pump flaps open to allow the wet side to pull fuel?

I’m not sure position of the pump has anything to do with it, looks like just a chamber with check valves.
Can that pump even function at WOT?
It would be moving back and forth almost 500 times per second, with liquid dampening it’s movement.
Perhaps the micro amount of fuel it moves each impulse is enough.
The Asian 440 wouldn’t start because impulse was blocked, but ran great after getting it running. Perhaps it was just partially blocked.
We need more testing.
