You are correct Dustin! That's how I mix mine. The 2.5 gallon mix is 6.4 ounces which makes 2 gallons of 40:1 mix!I believe that makes the mix ratio 40:1.
He’s had it for about a year I think he said, loves it. Still looks good to me too. 400,000 bd feet is probably more than most people do in 10 years on saw cuttin a cord or two firewood a winter lol. Loggers put a lot of cut time in!15000 feet a day it wont take but a few months to do 400 500000 feet. Hope they are lasting longer then a few months. Ppl
32-1...All my saws. All 4stroke when pulled up a wee bit in the cut.So maybe 40:1 with a stock 390? I run that in a few of my other saws.
Yep I catagorize that as abuse. Lot of people take too much off the rakers to make up for poor filing. I like em to eat don’t get me wrong, but it has to bore smooth.Or from bore cutting with an aggressive chain
The chain is what we’re talking about. I like the chain to where I have to hold back just a bit to keep it from stalling leaning on it, yet bore good. Takes me 4 filings or so to get most stock chain where I like it. Semi chisel doesn’t bore worth a crap. I can make it eat on the landing bucking dirty logs... but for felling I prefer chisel. You don't like Angry saws???
