Had this saw for a couple years now. Finally time to do something with it.

80.7cc of echo tq trying to add some zip.

Just trimmed enough off the base to set squish. About .018

After cutting base timing were 75,107,129

Set the ports at 75 102 122

Been awhile since running the burrs

Felt good getting back to the saws.

Just left this a burr finish, prolly be back in before to long.

See how it runs tomorrow after a timing advance and muffler mod.

Cylinder looks like a 395
The 800 has quad ports while the 8000 had dual.
And he has that OTHER!!! 8000 that he should bust out first......

Too bad the carb and exhaust look like a 235:(.
It sucks. These things are built well like a tank
You know I was thinking which is dangerous, but if someone was a real trick welder and added some material around the exhaust port so you could relocate the holes for the muffler allowing you to widen the exhaust port would it be worth it?
And someone had a build thread around he about getting an 044 carb on here but then the updates stopped.

Hey I got the exhaust from .950" to 1.350...

Iffin I had more time a wj would be on it.

But i do have the holy grail hda echo carb.. choke/throttle plates 2mm larger than than stock carb from this saw.
Well it’s tomorrow now. How’s she running?
Hopefully not yet, I left it on the bench...

I forgot to mention, think the piston/cylinder were swapped for the cs800 parts.

All of my other 8000 are dual port.

Well except that other 8000 you talking about ;)

Might get something going on that soon.

Muffler mod.

.025 off the key.

It will spin up a bit if needed. Don't think I hear a 4 stroke that high lol

Set around 13.5 in the vid.

Seems pretty snappy.

I'm thinking an 048 piston may be the ticket...

181 is too short.

13mm pin 52mm bore.

If anyone has some other options I'm listening.

Sorry its been a few months, but I remember the CS 8000 piston being pretty tall when I had it in my hand. I think you will be hard pressed to find a piston with a wrist pin height you are looking for. I would recommend cutting the head off the cylinder and making a head. I still need to fix one for mine. If it were the other way around, putting the CS 8000 piston in another saw that may be an option.

Indeed they are pretty tall,

Looks as if you have the quad port cylinder too. Is that a late model 8000? Or replacement 800 cylinder?

Carb appears a bit bigger than my lil hda too...

Sure would like to see more pics of that saw....
