As Spike says, history tell you how Husky handles themselves, they acquire not merge with the idea of benefitting the Husky brand. I hope they don't swallow up another player, there ain't many left these days.

The thing is Yamabiko is a half Billion dollar company, not something that is easy to buy. My opinion there is nothing to the story other than a bitter moron that couldn’t run a decent business.

Sounds totally silly to me. Husky doesn't merge with anyone, they buy them.

Kind of an odd comment from a guy who's closing. But maybe a glimpse of someone who hasn't really got a handle on things.
They want to own the #2 best selling brand of landscaper handheld power equipment.

That way they can sell Echo Zero Turns!!

I just don't see anything Echo has that Husqvarna would want or need. If you look at there previous actions it all has to do with technological gain.

Really... Poulan, Pioneer, Partner, McCulloch, etc. and so on. It's about buying out the competition.

Why would one dealer in Canada have the only heads up to a giant merger of this magnitude?

Could very well be. Husky and whatever umbrella that is would only take a wounded company. But as far as numbers go.... Husky would/should love to own echo. Who wouldn't want a 620xp?

You mean a reliable 60cc Pro Saw?

IKR?

I think Dub is referring to red max as far as tech?

I was just trying to throw out a rational idea. Plus didn't Pioneer have bottom fed quad ports first?

Personally I’d like to see the two companies stay separate. I’m not a big fan of echo I have 2 pieces of equipment out of 30 that are echo. But on one hand I watch many lumberjack competitions and echo keeps sponsoring and on the comercials keep repeating 5 year warranty, which Stihl and husqvarna should be taking more serious
