Lawnboy mowers actually spec a TCw3 outboard type oil.That lawnmower on the label must be one of those old green 2 stroke Lawn Boy's.
My first lawnmower in 1979 was a lawn boy.

As mentioned earlier about USA Stihl mix blended by Omni Speciality out of Louisiana.
I'm posting pics here of our Canadian Stihl Premium orange bottle mix with the Castrol logo and 32:1 40:1 50:1.

Yes, they speced outboard oils back then. Of course TCW3 wasnt around until the late 80's.Was that the spec for a Lawn Boy in 1979?
See my edited post above.Wonder why a air cooked lawnboy wants tcw3 oil. I mean its 2 cycle and air cooled one would think it would need air cooled low ash oil. Also in my snowmobiling days we has free air fan cooled and liquid cooled sleds. Dealers said to use the same oil. Weather it was artic cat or yamaha they said the same. Only stuck one sled that was freeair on a 40* day riding in the slush kinda slow.

@p61 western ....
Well, he IS a CalifornicatorFixed.
It happens here too, greenies fight & resist any plans to back burn and manage combustible fuel loads in the bush as they fear an animal might get hurt, then when a bushfire happens its uncontrollable and EVERYthing gets wiped out. After our last black Saturday fire where a couple of hundred died and lots of property burned, a royal commission was held and the rules got changed. Now back burning is common practice and permission is not required to fell trees within 10 meters of a residence. Anyways back to the oil, we too get Castrol produced Stihl oil which I'm quite sure is different to what the US has on their shelves. Folks have been running it for decades without issues & many farmers and saw users won't use anything else.Ironic that these spotted owl crusading tree huggers now have to deal with some wild fires.
Can someone fill me in on H1R please? I've missed a lot in a few years....and just by hitting the high spots at the beginning of this 703 page thread im not sure the answer is here lol.
I will say, Ive used at least 4 or possibly 5 of the big 4 liter jugs ( about a gallon iirc) of h1r without issue over a few years in about 15 different various 2 cycle ( and a few 4 cycle lol) engines at 32:1.

Some guys reported weird running issues mostly in autotune or mtron saws. If it works for you, carry on is the general consensusI dint know there was an issue?? Last I was paying attention that was the flavor of choice?

Oh ok. I think I remember something about that. Reading a few years ago? I don't have one of those new fangled saws so I didn't worry with itSome guys reported weird running issues mostly in autotune or mtron saws. If it works for you, carry on is the general consensus
