These are the newer orange fuel filters with finer filter material. (now 15 micron mesh size insted of 30 micron) They came first 2 years ago on the BR 500, 550, 600, 700 line.

Those are the same limiter caps that have been on the 201 and others for several years. Yes, they are fully defeated.

That looks like a similar mod a guy has to do to the RWJ-4 carb to make it fully adjustable.

It just dawned on me that the recalibration would be affected by size and tightness of the chain. Someone could calibrate with no chain, or a 50” .404. It would probably make a difference.

True there Deets, I would call it a wash but definitely not worth the time to remove it either, but without Scott testing we would have never known, just speculated.
