My neighbor recently gave me a 359 e-tech I took the saw fully apart down to the crankcase. The piston and cylinder was damaged. I bought a meteor piston with a nikasil jug. Is there any more problems commonly know with the saw.

Are you replacing seals?

And cat in the muffler needs to go.

So are you using the oem jug?

Depending on how much you spent maybe fancy the idea of returning what you got and get the 357 p/c. Oem can be had for 120ish.

How bad is the oem jug and what brand is the new one? Some of the AM cyclinder have some really crappy port shapes that rob power.

From the cat the exhaust port side is scarred all the way and half of the intake side is scarred. The jug is only damaged on the exhaust side.

Since I bought a brand new ported muffler. What do you think an OEM 359 muffler would sell for. I know probably not for much.
