Love the bar, never saw one of those saws. But it is nice.

I got a CA you can try out.

Haven't run it in a few years.

Seems like the CA isn't very well known on the west shore of the pond.
Some facts:
  • Built from 1966 to 1978
  • Displacement 56ccm
  • Power 3.8 HP (DIN)
  • Weight ~8.0 kg
  • Bar Mount D033 (Big Dolmar mount)
The Dolmar-internal model designation is 113, not to be confused with the later SACHS-DOLMAR 113!

The make has seen three facelifts.
First generation CAs had an all-metall orange painted rear handle,
after the first facelift, the second generation had the hear handle rubber-covered, as seen in
ajschainsaws pole-driller pictures.
The third incarnation (like mine) then had a rubber buffer hinged rear handle, so this version is sometimes referred to as AV-CA.

The last facelift introduced a safety lock button on the rear handle.

The flat non-plastic-covered decals are NLA but the PS-7300 badge should still be available,
I bought a PS-7900 badge a while ago.

If your'e interested, I'm able to produce repro-versions of the old non-plastic-covered
vent-housing decals as well as many other black on silver or black on transparent DOLMAR decals.

This one sounds good for carving

Looks they have rolled out a new accu-saw. The german website shows to variants:
AS1925Z and AS1925CZ, both the same saw but the former with 25 cm regular bar and the latter
with a carving bar instead.

And luckily I spotted it in the new Makita Akku katalog
Also the CZ is fitted with a 1/4 chain

Can anyone help me with what model this Dolmar is? The seller tells me it is a PS-30, but I can find nothing online about that particular model. Any help and specs would be appreciated.View attachment 150930

Definitely not a PS-30, since there is no such saw.
Its one of the so called "hobby-Dolmars", looking at the pic probably a PS-39, that is 39ccm and 2.3 HP (DIN) but could be one of the other than displacement identical 33ccm saws as well. To determine, you'll need to meter the bore: 37mm Ø would be 33 ccm (PS-33, PS-330, PS-340, PS-341 or PS-344) 40mm Ø bore would be 39ccm, model names PS-39, PS-380, PS-390, PS-400, PS-401, PS-410 or PS-411.
Some of this models were designated for certain sales channels or created for special marketing campaigns and thus not available in every market.

Thank you very much for your help Sir! I will have to see what it is when it comes as the label has obviously worn off on the sprocket cover

There ought to be be a type-label on the rear wall of the tank, right side off the rear handle
but that one's missing on your saw apparently. That label would have shown the serial number of the saw.

This thread seems to be sleeping well...
Hello wake up everyone! :jump:

Last question was about an unidentified Dolmar of the "hobby" class, internal model designations
021 (for 33ccm displacement motors) and 028 (39 ccm displacement).
To add some more information to the context, here are some pics of an PS-390, which is a 028, that is 39 ccm, 1.7 kW (2.3 HP DIN) and entirely identical with a PS-400 only with orange hoods rather than
black ones and most saws of this type don't have a built-in chain-tensioner but need Quickset / Intenz bars. I don't know if this model ever was available outside Germany.

However, a PS-390 (not the one in the pics) was the first saw I rebuilt and still is the saw
I most often use, since she's very lightweight and very powerful after she has undergone a little muffler mod.
The saw pictured here has undergone a muffler mod as well, but it had been too extreme in terms of noise, so I reversed of it by welding close part of the exhaust opening and thus burning part of the nickel coating of the muffler. Thats why I painted it heat resistant black.
