Need help with ts400 stilh concreate saw.

This saw runs fine hot , but when cold have to pour gas down spark plug hole. Starts great hot but sets is a no go any ideas , new carb kit cleaned out everything ???

The seals are probably bad and it's lost most of its pulse to run the pump in the carb. Or it needs new impulse and fuel lines and filter.
I have the same saw. 17 pulls on choke to get it to fire when cold. It's now awaiting a full rebuild

What he just said. But what I have found because I work on all the neighbors saws and weed eaters I went to HF and got a ultrasonic parts cleaner and two rounds with that and new diaphragms and there ready to rumble. Something clogging things up.

I just bought the same saw (TS 400) and the piston was blown up. So a quick question the connecting rod has some side-to-side play on the crane needle bearing (you can feel it at the top of the connecting rod if you know what I mean). Do you think I should replace the crank as well?

Stick a new piston in it and run it.
