200t air filter cover caused all this.
Should buff out
I've got a 365xt p/c that looks like that. Don't really know what caused it ,as it was a parts saw when I got it for the cases. But the big end rod bearing was completely gone.

The 6pak of Oktoberfest sold me :p . But also got a nice pair of husky chaps and a like new 4218 with case for my labor time. Not bad for tuning and putting a set of seals in a 026.
Oh and sharpen 2 chains.

So all I got is some time in it all.

Hate that gimmick tool less side cover though. Maybe next owner might want it.

Owner said it didnt want to start. Dumped old coffee looking mix out, put mine in. Used purge bulb to pass new through. 2nd pull started.

Sounds familiar...

A friend of mine knows I like to work on chainsaws, so he brought me this basket case from his brother-in-law.

They couldn’t figure out why it blew up...lol.

Ouch, I picked up a MS290 a couple months ago that someone had drilled holes in the air filter cover in an effort make the saw "run right". Thankfully, what was actually wrong was trash in the carburetor so they gave up on it before ruining it.

Just finished a 357/359 build. It’s a low hour 359 with a scored piston. Had a plastic intake clamp that was easily pulled off with my fingers. I picked up a 357 cylinder with the auto decomp and plugged the smaller fitting. I installed a meteor piston and caber ring. The carb is a Walbro 199 that runs great, but I need to remove the plastic limiters. No stuffers.

I advanced the timing and removed the base gasket. I cut with it today and am pleased how it ran. However, I have a ported 357xp so I was not blown Away. Just finished the 046 today. The only aftermarket parts are the caber piston rings and the clutch cover. I refuse to give stihl $58 for a new one. The aftermarket one is acceptable here I think because it is a magnesium cover just like the original.

Splitting time on these.

Picked these 2 up as a set at an estate sale via Facebook. Think they've pretty much sat on a shelf most of their lives. New fuel lines and the 4000 fired up. Haven't really messed with the super 25 yet.

Took this 028AV in as partial trade for a Poulan Wild Thing. Doesn't run, but feels like it will.

And lastly, the big one ...

281XP, been "recently" re-ringed, then the guy lost interest and traded it to me. I think he got in over his head, but it wasn't far off. I fixed the kill switch, rebuilt the carb, and she's alive. Love the sound of this Saw. Waiting on a new trigger interlock, then decide what I want to do with it.
