If you put a link up to what you referring too it could/would be easier to answer your question..

And I could be wrong but most peeps prefer 0em, And i beleave. the 26 are also used in the 36, so they must be over engineered

Edit: I just looked at the ipl on the 026 & 036 , one bearing is the same and the other is a bit larger on the 036
Cheers

Saws of all makes use mostly standard single row deep groove ball bearings.
# 6201, 6202 & 6203. Open with steel separator. Made to international standards.

Also available with plastic separator. Heat kills the plastic and should be avoided if possible.

Some (very few actually) use a special configuration or feature.

When you are a manufacturer, and buy by the tens of thousands you can order up all sorts of strange stuff.

You can switch brands but saws lack room for double row ball bearings.

The cheap The flywheel puller will be fine for your needs.

The bearings, like I said most peeps like oem, you can get cheaper than oem bearings that are not Chinese for the flywheel side, but for the pto side your only option Is oem or Chinese.

If you read through the rice burner 660 builds, you will find that there were a few bearing problems, some flushed them with solvents and some didn’t, where as some changed them.

Anyhow, you will have fun getting the old ones out and the new ones in. There are ways but it takes planning and patients.
I’ve done it on my 026, but I will not be in a rush to do it again
Cheers

Edit, I used Chinese bearings. I did spin them slowly to feel for any gritty ness/or bumps and lumps. And then washed with solvent and dried and checked again.
Anyhow the saw will never see a lot of use.
