I'd be afraid to split firewood with a double bit Ax. Just me.

I was a bit like that Jeff when I first got a double bit but now it can
Work in your favour if you get stuck in a log , swing it back over your head into the next log and bang hopefully two logs split haha

It's not the weight that splits with a double bit ,it's the momentum ,they swing real nice ,unless i have real limby knotty wood ,i grab the double bit first ,then the arvika if need a little more power ,if that don't do it it gets tossed to the side for the gas log splitter .
I have one shaped like that ,splits firewood pretty good .

I finished it off at last , it’s a good splitter

That axe is the norlund log splitting axe number 7 in t(e collection only one left

makes sense ,they used to make split rail fences out of cedar logs here ,split the whole length of the log so it looks like a triangle sort of
