I would prefer a Stihl Mount. Make it easy for all my bars.
But beggars cant be choosers.

It’s only a oil hole Jeff
Those saws have 4 bar stud holes drilled in the cases. Lots of options. There are two different bar plates for them as well. One for the rear holes, and one for the front holes. The clutch cover can be drilled out, if needed, like mentioned above.

You can run it D033/3002 if you so please, or D009 if that’s what you like.
My 9010 came with both sets.
I run both the 9000 and the 9010 with D009 studs and adapters for D025/3003 bars, unless I have D009 bars on them.

Sondre got it in a nutshell easy fix
stihl bars are only a new oil hole and bar adjuster is a larger but not a problem
The tails on the big mount bars aren’t a problem either

I usualy cut two sides of the shoulder down too 9mm and leave two sides the original size so you can use either bar

Screw studs in tight until the two wide sides are vertical D033 mounts

Reverse studs half a turn until wide sides are horizontal D009 mounts
The bar won’t let them undo cos they can’t turn in the slot

Well, that sort of debunks the theory that the early saws were large mount Stihls. IIRC, that was a 2017 year model saw you are talking about.

Yes a 2017 year production.

These saws coming from Great White North, or over seas European?

In Canada.
