I'm certain that it's hollow. Don't how how open it is in the center though.

That may be good news. Talked with a City worker who said after two years of grinding the pile into mulch they are going to burn again. Last burn looked like this:IMG_20160910_085807.jpg
With the pit top right and blower top center. Main subject was the ten foot white oak that I had no way to get to the barrel stave makers who pays good money for clear first off the stump white oak
I let some interesting sized logs get burried by later limbs and branches. Several of the front loader operator's will set chunks aside for me if I point it out to them. I do remember 4'+ diameter six foot above the root butresses near one end. They all have observed what I do even tho some have not seen me sawing away.IMG_20160910_113427.jpg These both were shot September 10th two years ago. Led Mike to invite me to slice his Healthy Ash of similar diameter but three feet shorter before branchings. I'm gonna spend too much time up there once the burn starts because it tends to be slow with so much green wet and no truly qualified pyro's on the payroll. May make it easier to catch all that I wood like!IMG_20160920_121648.jpg<<Mikes Ash after limbingIMG_20161014_161335.jpg<<<sil ground up what I couldn't cut for tables

Everyone is busy or baked today.

I’m in Chicago with my stepfather. I got what I believe is a shop ported saw; it is an absolute screaming beast.
$330.
I didn’t take a pic after all. An 034 Super that has a magnum 2 badge on it, perhaps like When Applied Laser Systems was buying new Glocks and putting lasers in them to sell as ALS Glocks. I’ll get a pic of it up.
We took down a big elm this week, some serious roping down involved.

Wet living elm. Well over the rated capacity, I’d wager.

Good morning.
Made a big dent in the old oak cleanup yesterday. Tammi and I are going to take some of the grandkids to the shooting range and try out a new 10/22 that I picked up a while back along with a couple of heirloom .22's that I've had since I was a kid.
