Anyone directly compared the new 462 to the new 572 yet?

Don't know about super light, likely it is the stroked crank adding the weight.

Ironic, the Stihl 661 went in the other direction (bigger bore).

I should have said cheap too. Well need to wait for the am version of the crank to come out I think since the only one I can find is on a Dutch site for 200 euro.

I saw these issues on many 362 and 441, and I saw 2 flooded 462. In less than 6 months, my coworker had his 362 reprogrammed twice.

It's not brand bashing, the MTronic is obviously the most advanced technonlogy, that's why so many guys like it. A good friend of mine is a skidder, he has only Mtronic saws on his skidder now, he told me they always start in 1 or 2 pulls when he has something to buck, and he can't expect that with AT saws.

But it seems like the most advanced technology is also the most fragile, that's my point.
Any 462's available without mtronics?

The crank won’t work on a 372 as a “bolt on” most likely. Smaller 6202 bearings on the 372. 572 two larger 6203. The stihls have a 6202 on flywheel side and 6203 sized on pto side I believe with the 046/461/462.

A 462 video I found.

I am not sure why anyone would use such a small bar and Picco chain on that size saw but it did seem to be getting with it.

Was just on the Stihl.de page from Germany and noticed that the 441 and 461 are no longer listed at all Just the 462 versions...

Not sure why either Gary. Should be full 3/8 on a minimum 20" bar mandatory. Lol
Interesting if that is a phase out of these saws.

If I believed in conspiracy theories I was have to believe that they dumped all the 441 and 461’s on North America so they can hold out on the 462 longer.

The more I read about the 500i the more I wonder which will be here first.
