What should I do with all this sasafrass? 4" - 12". Straight and dry. The tops were falling down. The trunks are solid, dry and not spalted. The whole stand was dead. Near forty trees, some to fifty feet.

Indoor post, shelving and firewood is all I see there. Tell me what else can be done with them.

Na, all pencil poles. Fifty to thirty five feet average. Punky on the top. Most broke up high and mid point when they fell. Say twenty twenty five foot post six to nine inch with little taper. I'll know next week if they are worm wood or not.

That's just it, what...
I dropped forty of um.

The farm has firewood for years and years stacked. We have large wood to 30", white oak, red oak , mullbury, maple to 50". Plus all the red cedar poles and posts waiting in that pile of trees. Most of it is in 12'-25' lengths. A few big ones still on the stump blown over. The wood far exceeds the equipment available on site.
The sassys are the little stuff. I know what to do with the large hardwoods and cedars ;)

Got any kids or grandkids? Maybe make a log cabin play house if any are big enough? Or raised beds for flowers or gardens?
