I had a couple of the prototypes and was impressed with the way they ran. Especially after they broke in. Won't really run this saw until Sat. Waiting in part cause it's absolutely driving a couple guys nuts. But I want to screw around with it for an entire afternoon and enjoy myself, not just make a couple cuts and have to go back in the store. I am real impressed with some of the thoughtful improvements that were made since I had the test saws. This is one of those "worth the wait" deals vs the bunch of updates that needed to be done to the 562 when it first came out.
Husky had nothing to do with me getting this saw. It's what we'd call a "dealer transfer" from a good dealer and a great guy in the UK. He was nice enough to let me have it for his dealer cost, which is how dealers normally do things. (Plus the shipping of course.) So I won't say who he is or what I paid. He was cool with helping a fellow dealer, but they don't generally do the international shipping thing. There could be no warranty on something like this, nor are there any parts available in the US yet. That's why I told the logger that's going to run it that he can't break anything.
