First, I am looking for a fuel tank / handle, ms 460 is preferred, but an ms 440 will do.

Second, I am looking for a crankshaft, if anyone has a used OEM one I would be interested in a price. I have seen some aftermarket ones various places, are they any good?

Thanks!

I would try to find an oem crank if possible but the aftermarket tanks aren’t bad. The tank vents sometimes leak, but swap to an oem tank vent and you are good. The shutoff switches can be rough too. Usually a little oil and they work better. Some swap to oem for that too.

Wouldn’t hurt to post this in the classifieds.
The only thing I have for a 460 is a NOS top cover

Ive got a fair tank, but it will need plastic welding on the front mount on one side

I have several 046/460 tank holders and cranks, but don't know what is good or not. I also need to go through them to determine what I need to keep.

Will not have any time till after 4/15, and I may even be getting more of them after that.

If you still do not have what you need by then, contact me.

The handles I have are not pretty, but they may work. They are all from pro tree guys who marked em, etc.

Still got my name in the hat Mike for a nice MS460 crank.

Mike:

I am not in a huge rush for the crank, or tank I am just starting to collect parts for a future mod-project. Also, as long as the tank is't insanely beat up or something the marking, scuffs, and scrapes aren't going to bother me.

DRF:

I am interested to know how you are plastic welding tanks? I tried one previously and it has cracked again. Maybe my method was not so great?

Has anyone had any experiences, good or bad, with the aftermarket cranks? Ultimately I would rather a good OEM one and am mainly just curious.

I have very little experience with it.
