The worm Gear is still on the crank for the oil pump. I am not ready to do the seals anyway. Waiting on parts and the money to buy parts. Just trying to source any tools I may need before I start. I have an assortment of seal tools from Stihl and. Husky I am sure I can find some thing that will fit.
Flywheel and PTO side. Pull the oil pump. There is a pressed on gear that has to come off to get the seal. After that easy. Then you have to press on the gear to the shoulder.

I'll get a picture of my puller tonight.

Ok, I need German saw experts knowledge. Will a 9010 piston and cylinder fit on a 6401? If no then why and could machining be utilized? Thanks.

Never mind, found some info. Maybe another conversion to 7900, 9000/9010 is out.

I now have the PS5105 back together (I went with Indian Head gasket shellac for the bearing) and find I have no spark. What are my options for a replacement ignition?

I done a little investigation, what is the difference between 181 143 110 (grey, s type) and 181 143 211 (black)?

The 181.143.110 coil is for the 5105 , non cat non , easy start new part number is
181.143.210

The 181.143.211 coil is for the 5105 C , easy start new part number is 181.143.212

Both coils use different flywheels in standard form

Thanks AJ, I ordered the 110 number from 08Ford, hope it is the right one for this saw. It says easy start but I don't think the extra spring is working, that little saw has killer compression and pulls over with a bit of attitude. I will be glad to see it running.

By the time I'm finished I'll have to run this one 10 years or so to come out even...

The 181-143-110 gray coil will not work in a 5105 Easy Start.

You need a 181-143-212 coil which is black.

The Easy Start saws still have a very solid pull.

The PS-6400 & PS-7900 have gotten a little bit of workout today.
Have to sharpen the chains on those two, the Rapid Duro3 will take some time to get a good edge on.

I used my PS-7310 yesterday, don't like her tone, will have to give her a muffler mod as soon as possible.

I used my PS-7300 last Saturday, seems a bit lean, will have to get rid of the carb limiter caps.

I have a Maruyama 51, same as 5105, just different colors. I wouldn’t call it sluggish but to your point it doesn’t seem to come up as fast as other saws.

I am thinking this one may have carburetor issues, rather than being sensitive, this one seems to take 1/4 to 1/2 turns to see any significant changes. It does cut, I will need to run it beside my 2050 and the PM55 just to get a feel for hoe strong it is or isn't.
