I would would like to mabe one day put a stove in the shed i am building. Its 12x12.
My only concern is i keep some equipment in it with fuel in them like atv push mower and blower. My fuel cans are stored in a metal cabinet out side shed.

Do any of you have a stove in smaller shed with equipment in it. Mabe even some pics of your setup.

So whats your thoughts.

Had one in my garage (stand alone), insurance company sent a rep to inspect OWB and asked me to remove it and send pictures of it removed or would cancel my policy.

Thats what i wondered about too.
Ill probly just heat it with my propane t7be heater.
I already have the wood stove. Its my smaller one i used to have in the house.
Ill just pack it away as a spare.
Or i should just sell it. Lol

Might wanna check out the minimum clearances and chimney building codes. I looked into it for my shop and a wood stove is gonna take up a pile of space plus a chimney is gonna be really pricey. Then you have to have it inspected and wett certified. Even then your insurance company still might not like it.

Interesting.
I had a wood stove in my shed. The shed burned down, not caused by the stove. My insurance company didn't say a word. They paid the claim in full.
I know they saw the stove, it was the only recognizable thing left.
When they did the original inspection of the property, 1997, the stove was there and in operation.

I have a woodburner in my garage, only use it when I'm in the garage. I've heard of many more buildings burning down from battery chargers than woodburners. Mine gets a new pipe every winter. Been using it for close to 30 years now.

And don't forget air compressors. I unplug mine every time I leave my shop.

I switch mine off at the breaker... had a hose go bad once, so it's off unless I'm in there.
