Just out of curiosity which one is more desirable and why? I just picked up a nice 50cc version. It kind of surprised me how well it runs with the muffler opened up a little.49 or 50cc on handle sticker?

Not true.If it has decomp its 44.7
A pic of the top of the jug with the top cover off will suffice to tell which size it is.
Decomp jugs came in 44.7 and 44mm variants. Most are, in fact, 44mm.
Many ways to tell without a caliper which one u have.
A saw with a 50cc sticker is generally 44.7 IF the jug hasn’t been swapped.
The top center boss on the casting, the upright area where it’s usually stamped “A” or “B”, can we see a pic?
On 44mm jugs, that’s machined flat and square on top. On 44.7mm jugs, the boss is as cast with rounded edges.
Only MS260, and near the end of the model run. The 44.7 also have a heat shield between the muff and jug that the 44mm didn’t come with from the factory.Did they make 44.7 026 pros?
