I never thought this day would come, but I think it's time to let my beauty go to her new home, could do with buying some parts for the Unimog (knuckle boom and PTO winch).

She's been sat on my shelf for a good few years, put fresh fuel in her the other day and she cracked up however bogs out when revved, I suspect the diaphragm has gone crispy.

The saw oils well, and compression kicks like a mule. I'll get compression reading this week.

She's certainly not done much work In her time. Open to sensible offers.

This is totally uncleaned and unmolested, exactly how I got her years back. Just blew some dust off before the photos.

Very nice! We had a 406 when I was a kid. Same cab as yours. 3 way tipper. My dad used it as a mule when he built roads in *s-wordty places.

There won’t be much room left after you get that knuckle boom on there, though. Do you have a trailer for it?

Any specific knuckle boom you’re looking for? I’m just curious, and think this is a sweet truck. I ran quite a few different knuckle booms before I moved stateside.

Yeah going off the photo of the German rebuild above I'll have about a 5ft bed, not big but enough to put 2 crates of firewood on. Anything big will go on my trailer, currently has an old hiab 650 on it that I'll probably sell when I get a newer one on the mog, thinking something like an 070 or similar, I want to be able to pick up about 3T at the side of me and swing it to the trailer

That’ll be a great combo. I had a Hiab 550 on a Bedford TK. Was just enough to pick up a Bobcat 753 and swing it onto the truck bed. I think that was 2400-2500kg.
We had an 070 on a Mercedes flatbed. I have quite a few hours on the 070. Easy to use and service. That’ll just pick up the 3T you need. We had a few HMF’s too, and a Hiab 950. I also had about a year on a Tico 7tm. It had unlimited slew, so you could spin it around as much as you wanted. Useful on a rear mount. The Tico cranes are gone a long time ago, but I’m sure there are used ones out there. They were made by a few guys who left Hiab to do their own thing.

Hey Mang,

They do now, Mang, after I moved in...

On a serious note, all that happened in the old country, Norway, before I moved stateside. No LBS in Norway.
