Does anyone have any experience with the quality of Huztl cylinder kits? Specifically, I am looking at a MS390 kit. I don't really need it, I was just considering one because of the price. I missed the opportunity to get the one HL Supply had on sale for $19.99. Kicked myself for missing that one.

I've rebuilt 2 290s into 390s using the huztl kits no problems.
Other than cleaning some casting flash from the ports.
And making sure to smooth the port edges if they are too sharp.
I've got 2 372 huztl big bore 372 kits.
I'm running no problems.
I just had to look them over before using.

I use a lot of their parts.
I am not quite sure what the connection between them and FarmerTech is but most of what is on their web catalogue is FarmerTech.
FarmerTech is the after market brand of an OEM supplier to Stihl, & Husqvarna, or the factories that assemble Stihl & Husqvarna in China.
As previously the cosmetic finish is a bit rough but every part I have used from them has been good quality and worked well.
The only parts I will not buy from them in future are the clutch drums & Spur sprockets.
Nothing wrong with them from a visual inspection but the steel is definately thinner and the contact surfaces are smaller.
Thus the drum is thinner as is the clutch shoes.

The rule of thumb with pattern parts is,
Branded parts or branded packaging generally means that the parts are good.
No brand & plain packaging means that the retailer/distributor does not want you to know where they came from so unbranded = highly suspect

More than one company there.
Whenzeng Machinery & Tool Company was the name on the first invoice I got from them around 5 years ago
Huztl , FarmerTech & Whenzeng all had their own sites for a while with different pricing on each one of them.
Come of the parts on the Huztl site come from CTS, they ever arrived in CTS packaging and were about 30% dearer than buying from CTS direct
So I am not sure what the connection is.
There is no link on the Hutzl site for wholesale distribution but there is one on the FarmerTech site.
