Hey boys I need some help please. I've got this little Chinese 4wheeler for kids. My problem is it's hell to start but when it starts and runs it runs perfectly. Kids can ride it for hours with no problems, but as soon as you turn it off the dang thing just will not start up again. Compression is 120-130 has lots of spark. Clean fresh fuel. Cleaned carb. Can't find a kit for it. No id numbers what so ever on the entire machine. I've checked all connections. I don't know what else to do I'm having a major brain fart over this one Unless I'm doing something wrong I can't find any literature on it either IMG_1556.JPGIMG_1557.JPG

Have you tried a new spark plug, them spark plugs can do funny things at times.. A mate had a saw, it would run lovly for hrs and he thought the coil was going bad cos it would not start once hot (these saws had a history of coils going bad),
Anyhow for some reason we changed this plug, it was then started while the saw was hot and it started every time after while hot
The plugs sparking caperbilities must have changed while hot and under compression, but I think we did get a spark from it while it was out and not under compression, wierd stuff them plugs

Worth a try, ? If you can swap the plug for a known working one, and one other thing, the plug gap can be/is important, you can't always just get one out of a box and use it, you have to check the gap, like I almost said before when a plug is hot the resistance changes and while under compression in the cylinder we can't see it.......
Cheers

Make sure the choke is full closed. If it has a large hole in the choke butterfly it might be the wrong part for that carb.

Thanks for the replies guys. Wonkeydonkey I actually did change the plug the other day and that's when it decided it wanted to run better but still really didn't want to start after being ridden for a while. Then I got to playing with the petcock and noticed it felt gritty when I would turn it. So I bypassed the petcock with a straight fuel line and filter to the carb and guess what? It's been starting fine ever since. Boy these things can be a PIA sometimes lol. I overthink things a lot of the time to though

Clean the carb again before it acts up.
Gonna do that today. Yeah I'm trying to keep this little bugger running as best I can cause I CAN NOT find any info on it whatsoever. So I'm not sure if there's any parts out there or not still

We sell the Polaris 50, it is imported from Taiwan. I think there is one maker and some different body stores and decals. Ours go for $2350.00.
