I hate seal driver tools. Every one I ever owned was *s-word. Sold all of them twenty years ago. I drill wood dowels if needed. Extra deep sockets and thick wall pipe works for me 99% of the time. Black iron pipe and collars are cheap, trust me. Easy to adapt, cut or machine ;)

Tank here. Thank you again Dallas.

One small snafu, the new OEM piston has a taller crown height on it than the one on my builder case. My error, I shoulda checked the intended use piston on the builder case. Both oem, both with different heights. Very odd. Off by about .010. The timing shouldn't change a bit, but the squish came in too tight as is. Very annoying.

Gotta run the kids to school today. Was gonna take care of the squish when I got back, but @Moparmyway wouldn't take no for an answer when he offered to help. He's gonna cut a hair more off the band with the lathe and have the jug back to me by Sunday.

Anyone here with teenagers?

The first year the kids are taking cars to school. They drive our old cars, if they want something better, they'll have to buy it for themselves.

After 11 days straight of near 12 hour days, and at 945 pm-approximately 8 hours before leaving with the car for school, I get a big "Hey Dad, the car has been making a grinding noise". They chose not to tell me for a week.

So now a cluster fùck of vehicle swapping has occurred and, to make matters worse, my new Jeep with 13k miles is having tranny issues. Fanfùckingtastic way to start my first vacation in 9 months.

I know people have much bigger problems, just had to vent a bit.

Hang in there bud, it will get better. Your Jeep is still under warranty correct?

You guys are seriously the best. Thank you for everything... especially the attention to detail.

I have six teenagers right now, and two more just itching to become teens. Just moved my first one off to college yesterday. Vent all you like sir, I have no answers but I'll listen and learn. I've heard of the age of accountability, I'm just wondering when the age of 'common sense' is.. the struggle is real.

Why didn't you just take the extra .010 off with a belt sander?
