Holy crap, That guys a crook. I have no dog in this fight but if I paid him 400 bucks and he sent that crap back to me, I wouldn't be *b-wordin here. I would hunt him down for a face to face talk. You should check to see if you have a case against him. One of you need to take action against him. he's just gonna keep screwing people. He needs put out of business either by the law or broken bones.

I don't like Stihl ultra. Can you buy some Motul 800/Belray H1R/Amsoil Saber and run at 32:1 please?

I can send you some when the saw returns to get you started.

The case has corrosion inside. Those ain't water droplets. I guess I will sand before cleaning the case halves.

The prior guy used some sealant on the case gasket. I can find only one meaningless crack. I generally don't use sealant with an oem gasket, but I think I'm gonna in this case.

Hope these halves fit in my USC. I've only got a 12 liter one.

I'll check with the local Amsoil guy. If he doesn't have Saber, he'll order it.

I have an honest question for anyone here who's ever split a case. Please put your big boy pants on and leave your feelings and allegiances home.

Is there any way this case looks like its been split recently? It's reported to be used for 2 hours since receipt and for 4 tanks of fuel.

Is there anyway a slob coulda split, heated, installed bearings, and left all that crud there?

I just don't think it possible myself.

Those bolt holes were packed with crud.

Even on a total junk saw tear down that stuff falls off for the most part. Usually a pretty good "pop" when the halves let loose and the crud flies.

How are the torx prints? This could be a good way to know if the case was split. If the prints are full of crap, then...

Edit :

Pics won't load on my phone, but usually when you split the case on a saw, if it wasn't open for a while the gasket just fall apart, with many parts stuck on both sides.

If the saw have only 2 hours since the last case splitting then the gasket should remain complete.

No, I dont think it was
I agree with you 100%

Look at any saw that I've got hanging up in the barn. They all have more time on them that this does, and there aint a fraction of the crappola on them that this one has Doc

No way in hell that case was split in the recent past.

You guys that are still allowing Jason to tell you lies are only setting yourselves up for more *f-wordery from him.

Look at the two saws that are apart in these threads and tell yourself that this is the work of a man that is doing his level best.....I dare you.

We all know that is not the case.

Which raises a good question in my mind. Should there be a "Sorry Date"? A date in which if you still go and play the JMS saw lottery and loose, we don't feel sorry for you any longer. I'm a thinking it should be pretty soon...

Randy started the "Check iut this $1500 064" thread on July 26th. If anyone chose to do business with *s-wordhead after that date they deserve our pity and mocking but no help. (IMO)

I'll check with the local Amsoil guy. If he doesn't have Saber, he'll order it.

I have been very happy using Saber at 40:1 in all my saws, including some milling. No problems encountered.

I think there are just a few Husky saws that do not lube the bearing well where the builders insist on 32 to 1.

Noone with a brain in there head believes him anymore Randy.

Some people needed solid proof before casting him aside.

This thread just provides more of that.

Some people will still eat the chocolate pudding, after seeing that there's fecal matter in it... unfortunately.
