Big ol' can of Dinty Moore beef stew, half a dozen pieces of toast, about half a gallon of milk. After yard work most of the day in 90 deg heat, had no interest in slaving over a grill this evening.

Gonna do some burgers and dogs on the grill tomorrow for daughter and her friend.

Chicken Tacos with freshly made chips and Guac.
The chips and Guac were great. The Tacos were OK, they needed Pico de Gallo.

My wife made Guac and wanted warm Tortilla chips, so I got some fresh Corn Tortillas from the Mexican Grocery store, cut em into quarters and fried them. Much better than the commercial stuff.

Since the daughter is home from school now, she decided she wanted to make supper tonight. So she cooked some chicken breasts, and made some macaroni with cherry tomatoes, carrots, broccoli, sugar snap peas, and water chestnuts, with bread sticks and butter. It turned out pretty damn good! ( except the water chestnuts ) as I don't care for them.

It's Friday night -- we went the the "fish camp" and ate fish, skrimps, oysters, and all the trimmings.

Fried oysters and oyster stew, S.O.B. On the top of my list, As my brother in law lives in Urbana Va. where they have the oyster festival every year. He bring us the best unwashed oysters every year.

The friends who were over last night had us over tonight as they smoked a concoction of a hot dog wrapped with cheese then wrapped in ground beef then wrapped in bacon. It was very tasty. Tomorrow we are having a BBQ with burgers and what ever else people bring. I do know a couple people are doing smoked ribs and riblets.

Another favorite of mine tonight, dove breast fillets with onions and gravy with steamed and smashed taters.

That looks pretty damn good. There aren't nearly as many of those places as there used to be. The chain restaurants have killed them. Damn shame.
