I picked up a 2007 non running 350 on CL for $40 tonight. He couldn't start it but the primer and fuel line were not hooked up. The blue fuel line doesn't have any gromet either (not sure if it needs one) IMG_4098.JPG IMG_4088.JPG IMG_4089.JPG IMG_4091.JPG Please excuse my ignorance on Husqvarnas. I don't exactly know what I have here.

It has a Meteor cylinder and piston. Scored on the exhaust side only and the ring is stuck. There is transfer on the exhaust side of the cylinder that I plan on using the Mastermind method.

How do I know what cylinder/piston is on this saw? (346,350....). I know I'll need a new piston and ring for sure.

Anyone have a ipl they can send me?

Looks like whatever burned up the original cylinder didn't get fixed the 1st time, and also toasted the 2nd one.

That's a 346 top end, which is good. Oe is 42mm, NE is 44.3mm.
Looks like the impulse nipple in the bottom of the boot wasn't inserted into the jug properly.
Needs to be vac and pressure tested when you get it back together.

That is a meteor top end...you have an air leak somewhere . ...likely in the crank seals or bearing cup.

Yes...
Watch my vids :)

The piston has 2205.1 stamped on it. The meteor site lists the 2205 in the 45mm big bore kit. According to my caliper (might not be the most accurate) 44.9mm. 1.768"

Does that make sense?

Hmph. Didn't know they made it in 45mm, but I guess I've never looked for one through meteor. Your research indicates it's definitely 45mm. Cool.

Is the rubber manifold melted? Or is that black sealant?

I know some guys use that metal clamp, but if a guy can still twist the clamp after its affixed, it's not tight enough. I'd opt for a screw type clamp. HL has them. I smear some sealant around the intake boot before I clamp it down

It's that impulse nipple. the last guy to rebuild it jammed that on there and it ripped. that's your leak. shucks.
Where's the leak? The broken nipple isn't open to outside air

image.jpg The melted intake is/was a hard plastic. Not rubbery at all. Check out these screws that held it all together. I can see air between the carb on both sides of the intake. Ugly
