It was yellow originally as it was owned by the Town of High Point in NC. I sold it to the dealer who sold me the '70 Power Wagon and he painted it red.

I got an old power wagon(1992) I bought Oct 10th 1991, it was built Sept 9th of 1991 and was the 1st Magnum v-8 to arrive at the dealership where I worked. The original speedometer quit working at 210k and the one I put in it shows speed but the odometer doesn't work, so I don't really know how many miles are on it but roughly 250-260k. Never had a valve cover off... put 2 radiators, an electric in tank fuel pump and 1 water pump on it. All the 4 wheel stuff was never used until I bought the 02 4x4Ram I now drive and the 91 became my wood hauler.

Don't lug it in fifth...

Yup I've had to learn how to drive a diesel. Also discovered that I can't roll into the throttle too hard in fifth, it will slip the clutch if the tuner is on max power setting. Holy torque.

Time for a new clutch... I decided on a Southbend for my '06.

Agreed. I'll probably go with South Bend as well. While the tranny is out I'll do the 5th gear nut fix also. But I'm not in a hurry, the clutch is fine on lower power settings. Still undecided whether I'll be installing a single or a street double disc. With my mods, 33" tires and 354 gears even a new single disc would most likely slip in 5th.

That's awesome to have a truck from your grandpa.

I have wanted that truck as long as i could remember. It was purchased at Cowley Ford in woodbridge, VA in January 1988 when my grandparents bought their farm. They moved to the farm in Monroe County WV in 1990. It stayed there till 2008 when my grandpa purchased a new truck. He gave it to my cousin in Miami, Florida. After collage my cousin found a job in Cincinnati. The truck moved to Ohio. That was the worst thing for it as the road salt pretty much ate it up. He told me it stopped running and he was done with it. So I drove from Saint Louis to Cincinnati in 2015 to trailer it home.

That's my cousin on the trailer having a hard time letting it go!
