Resolved Search function stinks.

Is it just me or does the OPE search function really stink.
I will type something like dolmar 421 and not a single thread brought up is about the Dolmar 421. What is up with that? Can it be fixed?

I did search "most awesome Swedish chainsaw" and got the result "jonsred 2260"

I'm not sure what the difference is between a 421 and a 420 but there is a 420 for sale in Iowa city craigslist.

Not sure what the real differences are, but there was a cherry Makita dcs460 on another site last week for $200. It's in my garage now.

I will bring this back to the top. The search function is still non-functional in my opinion. Unsure if this is a software issue or an operator issue. All I know is I can type my identical search on other forums and it works wonderfully.

Any feedback from the computer literate?

Same here, I've really had no luck with the search function either. I don't know if the poor results are due to this being a new site or what, but sorry to say if I needed to know something I either post or search on the other forum. I'll try the " " if I need to know something in the future, which is a given, and hopefully will be better results.

Same issue here, search doesnt work well at all.

If I search "242" I get no hits, if I search "Husqvarna 242" or "Husky 242" it work.

Not that I liked to go there, but I went to AS and did put in "242 "in search and it worked.
