Mine came from the ABS sensor in the rear end. 99 2500 gas version. Speeds were bouncy b4 going out then dropped entirely.

Is the manuals the same as the auto’s 3 wire sensor plugged in on trans on 2wd or 4wd on t-case?
Autos are like that from 94-97. My 98 1500 was on the rear diff.
My 96 1500 has a 727 so I run a sky drive, gps but actually runs the electronic dash speedo if you’re looking for a work around

This is the coolest thread on the site. Mopar or no car. You guys have a VERY impressive knowledge of these trucks. Never had a cummins. Had a 1994 with a 318. Liked the red interior, only 94 and 95 had the red and blue interiors. Other truck we used as a shop truck was an '03 with the underrated 4.7 v8. Had 3 vehicles with that motor at one point, the 03, an 04 Dakota, and an 01 Jeep. Never a problem with any of them. The 04 is still going with over 200,000 on her. I miss that truck. 😕

I spent the past week stripping the truck, and today I got the motor pulled. Now I'm gonna use my upcoming week off to gut the truck so I can scrap the hulk and sell off all the saveable bits I don't need. One dies so others may live, such is the circle of life.

Yep. Motor is fine, no signs of a cracked block and since a K&N style intake is my only planned performance mod I think it'll last just fine. I'm really not too terribly concerned, just noticed that when I was looking over my precious.
