well the 261 wont run under load very well, should this carb be so loose? I dumped the gas in it and run a tank of fresh fuel through.

Something very wrong there. Not sure it’s the carb mounting screws either.

Blow it out with compressed air and then start disassembly from air filter to jug. Flip the control switch to the side, don’t try to remove it.

It’s incredible what MT will try to compensate for, and actually do a pretty good job.
