Here's my thinking on it Dewayne.

There are a lot of people who have said they enjoy watching his videos, and have learned from them.

We have been slandered as a group by one of the people he recommends on his channel. So....we can do one of two things. We can continue to post negative stuff about the guy who has been running us down, or we can rise above that and do something better.

I'm willing to do the better.

I can provide a new 372OE ported, shipped, and outfitted with the HD filter, and west coast spikes for about 800.00

While I am normally one of the first to say I'm in when it comes to Riff Raff adventures this one I will need to think about and need some convincing. More than anything I just see it as feeding BBR's Ego. If you can convince me that it good for the forum as a community then count me in for $50.

I've never watched any of the guys videos, so I don't know if his ego is out of control or not.

I'm all about helping someone out but I've read more youtube comments this past week than I ever have. It feels waaaaay too much like "The Nosy Asses of Hillsdale" FB page. I want to see Jesse get right and that's the end of my involvement in this. I don't need to spend anymore time or effort on those clowns.

If anyone, BBR included, can't see what I saw in the first 90 seconds of the first IH vid I ever watched, I'm not sure they have the capacity to change their mind. Like, maybe they're comatose...

Yeah I was actually pretty impressed with how Billy came off in person, talked to him for a good 20 minutes, seemed down to earth and honest with no BS, gave tips on axe building felling and so on. Unfortunately sometimes things can change a guy, hopefully not.

That said I don't believe he knows much about proper saw porting, actually I'm pretty sure he doesn't. He does have a walker 372 and 394 that sound and seem to cut really good, but that's all you can from a video. I had my pretty good running 390xp and Victor a friend of his was shocked at how it ran and said he wished it was his saw. Another friend of his Nik had a ported 350 with a 346 that I actually ran, felt like a mm saw at best, my lightly ported 550 with no machine work killed it. Problem was they only had maybe 20" wood so you really couldn't get a feel for the larger saws.

IH? Well I think we all know what he's about at this point.

Last quote I had on for one of Billy's axes was $250 but that was a few years ago, still too rich for my blood, so put one together myself for a little under $100. I believe Billy covers shipping from Vancouver so honestly $250 isn't too crazy. If they're more than that now, well I guess if the market is there, so that's that.
