So this happened today. This piece of oak is like trying to cut treated oak flooring. It's worse than an oak railroad tie. If we had any sense, we would have made something decent out of it. So, of course, I cut it all up with chainsaws instead.

OK, I re-edited it and threw the new vid in here as well. Bear in mind the 241 is a fairly strong saw. It started detonating, so it's back to standard ignition timing(it has nearly 200psi compression), so not quite as angry as it was - and it was very tough with the timing advanced. Like 1/3 again faster. It also runs 325 standard kerf semi chisel. So it is running a lot more teeth and kerf as the bar is also almost 2 inches longer. Having said all that, as they both sit right now, the 4300 doesn't feel far off like the last one did from the ported 241(which is why I never ran them both previously - sorry, Andrew). I mean, the Stihl does pull a bit better, but nto as much as I woudl have thought. So the finger ports and the timing, and more aggressive porting made a big difference. Also, that Makita is on it's first tank! It is brand spanking new. When this breaks in, it may be right there with it. Especially since, if you listen for it, it is a touch rich still and just barely cleared up in this very tough wood.

Delicious salted caramel Little Debbie bar. Damn tasty.

Testing the brightness of the HF mechanics light I got for free. Things bright!

BK lunch.

Rare single cab, long bed "Safety Orange" Tundra. As gear heads, we know this is an unusual model. Never ever seen a single cab long bed. I'm guessing it's a custom build considering the color?

Chewed up coil pack boot.

Heh. I think this stuff is tygon? ANdrew can pipe in here as he sent it with the old jug. It looks and feel like tygon anyways.
I made the little fingers after I ran some water in the jug and it seemed to swirl a bit weakly at the intake side. I was relieved when I ran it again after I finished the fingers and saw how nice and strong and even the flow was. It sounded great and revved real nice. But I was mostly very happy when I shoved this thing in to some wood and it flat out performs. That 241 is a strong saw; it has compromised stratos, the new upgraded euro MTronic carb, 200psi compression, and ported all to hell - and the lil 4300 deserves to be in the same video. And I haven't even touched the other transfers on the 4300. After a tank of fuel, it sounds very nice. Got a good crackle to it.

Thanks, hahah, off a ladder! Truck comes, they bring a ladder and fill away! They have to have them off the ground for tidal wave concerns, it’s code, the walls be below are brake away, no mechanical connection. So they blow out if a large wave hits.
We are going to be adding propane to this house, getting rid of the the electric water heater and add two tankless on demand propane units

The monster truck Bigfoot was in town for the opening of a Firestone store, so my daughter and I stopped to see it.

Can't believe Bigfoot is a Chevy nowadays. That's like Dale Earnhardt driving a Thunderbird.

I was quite happy to see her being hauled around by an old LTL9000.
