Different saw I know, but I had a MS661 come in burnt up and the manifold was split at the clamp like it was cut with knife.

Well, as luck would have it the kit did come in Tuesday. So, Stihl still has some somewhere. It runs fine. I hope to never see it again.

We have one of the earlier MS462's at work and a new top end has been on order since early December of 2021. So, I guess my question is will Stihl ever furnish one ? Or, since it is a tree service would paying $400 or whatever for me to rebuild it be a bad investment in a questionable...
