I got a couple puzzles done on the FranknTruck Rad support finished and reinstalled. Fit the rad in it to make sure the install would go easy. Got the steering connected. The Ford shaft had a section that was the right size for the GM shaft to slid inside. Cut to length and installed. Will have...

Do you run bias tires on your trailers for a reason? Or it’s a trailer so any tire will do? Just curious as you are in heat pretty much year around.

We don’t get anything for scrap cars here. I now have to haul them 100 miles to pay someone $100 each to take them if they are drained and don’t have tires. I have a 53 ft double drop and if I put more than 4 on there DOT requires me to have any stacked on top of each other to be cabled together...

Wish I could haul cars like that here. If I showed up with a load like that on my lowbed in Whitehorse I’d be parked.

    2nd Gen Ram Pickups

Heavy diffs and 4 wheel disc breaks. Was originally going to adapt the diffs the the gm frame. But decided to go with the frame. The pinion on the gm front axle was on the wrong side for the transfer case plus the ford sits higher. Decided to used the ford rad as it was narrower than the gm...

Frame has been lengthened 3" now the wheels will fit in the wheel wells if i decide to use a box on the truck. The cab fits the frame a lot better, but i will have to take a bit off the top where the frame comes up to the flat area under the box. Turns out that a set of cab mounts are in the...

I make them by finding a junk socket the same outside diameter as the inside of the holes. Then find some round stock that fits the holes. Fit the stock in the holes, insert the socket inside the rods. Secure with a hose clamp and remove. Then weld the rods in place. Done.

    MCCULLOCH The official McCulloch thread

Snowmobile engines from the 90’s didn’t use gaskets on the engine halves. A trick to seal a stubborn case half was to use white cotton thread imbedded in the sealer of choice around the case half

Test fit showed the frame and cab didn't really like each other Pulled the engine assembly and put it back into storage after getting it in the right place to center the wheels in the front wheel wells. Next step is to extend the frame to fit the cab, then build cab mounts, rad support to hold the...

Separation happened today Test fit on to the new frame tomorrow which will be the start of building 8 body mounts. Maybe get lucky and the original ones for the rad support will be usable, but preliminary measurements say not likely.
