Well, I finally got the piston and cylinder kit from my buddy on Saturday. Sunday, my day off, I had to do u joints on the truck. Good time to be a setup machinist in the gear and sprocket industry! U joints took way longer than I planned due to 20 years of Michigan winters. Hope to get a second...

Ok, haven't been on much lately. Here's where I am at. I've got the case splitted on the 3rd 550xp, I am removing the broken stuffers. This saw I will reassemble with out the stuffers, and mod the same way as the one I modded. Same timing numbers, squish, etc. I will take rpm notes in the cut...

I'm still here, had time today before work to put tank and other parts back on saw. Just need to put recoil on, muffler, brake flag, clutch, etc.. this saw is stock with fresh ring, that I will use for baseline cuts.

Ok, I am not electrically smart. Just unplugging it will suffice? Also, is there a schematic for hooking these up? I just took it apart 2 days ago and couldn't even follow it when I did it..

I 86'd the trio brake mount on one of the saws. Need to do all of them now.

Ok, last night I got the new bearing in and case back together. If time allows this week I'll get another built for testing.
