Yes I thought that was a possibility, however the pto side has the oil pump cam in the way. So you can’t really just pull the clutch off and washer a pop a new one in. Well I guess you can if I pulled the oil pump out by screwing a bolt into the bottom and tugging it out of the way and pushing...

Wedge a fat bit of fire rope under the glass. Or just buy a bigger (taller) bit of glass so it just sits on that little ledge

I guess as a short term solution could be just a fat wad of fire rope wedged underneath on that that ledge to stop it droping.
I split a gx160 on a generator (Chinese clone ) because of a governor problem ( previous owner), however i split it and sorted the governor problem. And put it back together and it’s still in use. I’ve had carb problems since however I spilt it over 5yrs ago

Today was a wet one “all day” 🤨🤷♂️.
So I decided to fix that saw with that pto crank seal. What an aśś it was.
Anyway it’s done (both seals) now. Tomorrow I'll check it out and start it up & tune it.. 👌🤞

My ms 018 has been missing a beat here and there. Not the usual screamer as it was 😴
So today I got chance to try and tune it, that didn’t work…🤷♂️
I took the carb off and looked, it looked clean and dandy. I also checked the plug and swapped it to be sure...
I’ve found laying the saw on its side (clutch side down) stops the saw from dying compared to putting the saw down normally.
Has anyone else noticed this ?
