Hi Gav, the second hand market over with you seems to be more expensive than over in uk, maybe it's just the places I been looking but the world is going crazy and in some cases used cost more than new.🤔

I got a decent one from amazon, came as a kit with a good range of sizes and mandrels and it was pretty cheap but not rubbish. Its paid for itself over and over. Dont go by reviews they are like you said all over the place. If you dont like it you can return it, simple 👍

With that much money tied up in saws that wont run I would be onto Stihl and asking for at least a rep to be sent out urgently. They can do it and should if they want to keep their good name.

you often see saws on ebay (uk) for crazy prices, old 1980's saws going for double what they cost new and some not even working. Even if they are "working" you soon find out they are junk. It seems people now have more money than sense, maybe its the covid vax :rolleyes:

I have a 362xp, lovely handling saw and nice to work with, also run a 550xpg that is very fast cutting and lighter than the 362 also slimmer, its a great saw for felling and clearing being easy to manoeuvre.
