So what did you do today?

when I need something from Messick's they rarely have it in stock at the Abbottstown or Carlisle location, so I just order it online & just pick it up within the next day or two, the closest one is a 20-25 min drive for me. If I need JD parts there's 3 Atlantic Tractor locations within 30 mins...

Husqvarna 450 vs 62cc clone saws

what @ammoaddict said. I drilled a couple 3/16" or 1/4" in the front of muffler on mine. once I got it tuned, it really woke up & started a whole lot easier when hot.

    Ready for the winter

I have a pellet stove, but my parents & aunt and uncle burn firewood. I cut rounds/short logs in the fall & spring (I cut mostly dead standing & blowdowns) & pile it in my designated splitting area. I split during late spring/early summer before it gets too hot. once split it gets stacked...

    Husky to stihl bar adapter

I have one from Red Beards & one from Saw Suppliers, fitment is great for both. I always worry about losing the damn things though. you'll have to drill the bar tensioner holes to a larger size and elongate the stud slot to run a stihl bar on a husq.

So what did you do today?

On today's episode of "my leaf blower ran last year", featuring a Husqvarna 125BV. So after a cleaning, new fuel line, filter & carb kit, all is well. same guy also dropped off a Stihl BG66 to go through. it got the same treatment & a mud dobber nest removed from the muffler outlet.

    Cheap Carbs for Weed Whacker

they can be hit or miss. I go thru them when they arrive, clean everything & make sure the needle height is adjusted right. I've had good luck since I started doing that.

Kawasaki engines...are they really that good...not seeing it

personally I prefer Kohler over anything else. I absolutely loathe B&S engines & have only messed with a handful of Kawi engines (mostly maintenance & carb repair)

    I saved over $500

I try to do as much of my own work as I can, esp with Toyota (I have a '13 Tacoma). buying OEM parts from the mothership is bad enough.
