The dukes 346 cylinder saw Greg did for me is amazing and is as fast or faster than a ported 346 oe. I am sure stock it is definitely faster than this open port 44mm 350 cylinder. But I will be porting the 346 and 353 cylinders once I get the bases machined
Made a little more progress carb pile was not that promising took 3 carbs to make 1 good 1. Coming together swapped recoils from my 309 so the recoil has the newer generic sticker. Coming along fairly nice so far though
If you end up with an aftermarket top end go for the dukes 346 top end they are a pretty nice top end. You have to modify the riser for impulse and clearance the cooling fins on the case but definitely a way better option than other China junk. I have also used his seals before with no issues...
If you can get the squish down that low without a gasket why would you not want to use the 066 piston with one gasket and you could make the squish right and take care of the freeport?
Could you put 066 piston in it? According to meteor website. Squish would be a little higher and skirt would be longer might have to trim skirts down to make it work
I see the piece underneath now looking closer. That is in the right spot. The roll pin goes in there I remember now thinking about it more. Try putting a punch or drill bit in and make sure you can pull the brake off first before driving in the roll pin then you know it is right. Plus it will be...
