Those are Whiskey River Heritage 30C handles. They've been out of stock for more than a few weeks at this time.

Is that a railroad spike in that round?
I added another Tassie to the workhorse lineup. This is an unmarked head or any markings are no longer visible. Cleaned it up, hand-sharpened and hung it today.
Rehung my Keesteel Tassie and my 6 year old sons double-bit Plumb he found in the barn. We made the sheath this winter from the buckskin of the first buck I killed on our farm.
Testing them out in the morning.
Tassie patterns are better suited for splitting hardwoods. Think maul profile with a longer edge but with its weight being carried ahead of the eye. Very thin polls so not suited for wedge banging. That's why you find a lot of them have been welded or have cracked or mis-shapen polls.
I like...
4 months ago I discovered Tassies. Left to right is an unmarked, a Hytest 4-1/2 and a Keesteel KK 4-1/2. I've rehung the unmarked and the Hytest so far. I have a Plumb USA 4-1/2 Tassie on the way as of this morning.
My 038 Mag is back to life after a good revamping. All rubber components minus the AV buffers have been replaced, crank bearings, seals, etc... Top end was in great shape and was put back together in stock form. This is my first 038 Mag so I wanted a baseline before any mods in the future.
A little 5 minute epoxy will plug it nicely. Can always drill a hole and run a wire through the nipple so the epoxy encases the wire so you know it won't go anywhere at that point.
I ordered some of his weld-on hooks a few weeks ago and welded some on my tractor winch. Pieces of forged art, they are. I've been eyeing a diverter valve for some time as well.
