I saw a video on Donny Walkers YouTube channel where he was talking about them and said Stihl switched back to thicker ones on the newest saws. Not sure if he says the part number its been awhile since I have seen the video.
Watched an older movie with Tom Hanks in it and theres a scene where a Stihl chainsaw comes thru the wall well they run it upside down to shoot chips at him then in a scene later the saw is right side up confirming this movie trickery. Thought it was only something a saw guy would notice haha...
Has there been a dyno run with a stock saw with the muffler screen in and out to see if the screen creates restriction and if so how much? If not id like to se one if you can thanks.
I was having an issue with fine sawdust/debris getting into my Stihl 462 muffler using a Chainsaw Guy Buckshot exhaust which has two front facing tubes in the muffler cover. Posted on here and the consensus was to add a screen. I did and no more junk inside the muffler. I didnt notice a change...
Was wondering if anyone else here is running a muffler cover or whole muffler built by Rich The Chainsaw Guy on YouTube from Myrtle Creek Saw Shop in Oregon and how they like it. I have one for my Stilh MS462C along with a BarkBox and IMO the Buckshot flows exhaust much better. Nice crisp sound...
I have a muffler cover with front ports that is letting sawdust fines/dirt in the muffler and its sticking to the oil. Should I be concerned? I dont know if 2 strokes suck stuff in the muffler into the firing chamber or not. Any thoughts? Thanks.
Some muffler combinations I've been trying on a stock 462 with a West Coast Saw foam air filter being the only other modification. The stock unmodded muffler with the buckshot cover brings the most power in my opinion thought I'd share.
