I know which on my money’s on for the more technically advanced alloy, and it damn sure Ain’t Mahle. I’d go as far as to say the alloy KS used is probably still high end by today’s standards
If youre wanting to do bearings post case halves up if it’s worth it in postage and I’ll do them for you, I can get bearings for you on trade account at cost too.
I change seals on saws like this as a matter of course now, gives me the opportunity to clean off all the baked on crud and it costs about 8 quid for genuine seals
I know the feeling, this one has cost £80 for exhaust cover, plug cover, carb kit, chain tensioner and basic service parts! Absolute killer considering their value.
