So I finally got this thing back together and running today. I decided to just put the Wiseco piston in it with the new OEM NE cylinder and no port work for the time being. Figured I’ll see how it works first. Just out of curiosity. When I get some more time I’ll pull it apart again and hog on...
Oh I am not!!! I ordered this thing to try it out and hadn’t heard or seen anyone with one so I figured it was a gamble. No doubting here!! Lol. It’s not a huge deal on weight but I wish they would have thinned it down a bit just for a reduction in rotating mass. But I think the compression bump...
Yeah I agree. Wish it was more like the Dominant one I have for my 372xp. That thing is lighter than stock! But I figured I would try. Maybe I’ll grind some weight off of it! [emoji38][emoji38]
Well my scale isn’t that great but I’ll give you what I have. Looks like there is plenty of material remove to reduce weight. They do feel really similar but that scale shows a little heavier on the new Wiseco slug.
The Wiseco scaled in .1 kg above the stock one. But it was bouncing between...
Ok so I ordered the new OEM cylinder and piston and was getting ready to put it together and found this online.
Naturally I figured I should buy it and give it a try. So it just showed today. Gonna see how it works. I have a Dominant/Wiseco pop up in my 372xp that I love. So I hope this one is...
Well finally got back home from working in SoCal for the past few weeks and had a nice little pile of parts! Too bad I don’t have anytime to work on for a bit. Back SoCal in a couple days... oh well.
Haha! Well I have been a loonnggg time AS lurker from like 10 years ago. I use saws everyday in my job so I wouldn’t put all the blame on you guys. Lol.
Ok I ordered up a new 44mm top end for it. So this one will be done with new stuff. And I’ll save this one I have and look for a beater saw maybe to test out how long it’ll last! Ha!
Are there problems with the decompression? This is 2013 new edition model. Heard they fixed a bunch of old issues with this newer saw.
Good idea on the steel plate. I was surprised to see that thing on the back of the flywheel. Might just pop it off real quick and remove it. [emoji106]
Yeah I was thinking about getting a deflector and turning it down instead of up to get the exhaust away from the operators hand. Will the exhaust melt the plastic cover if you don’t cut it?
