    What? No bandsaw milling threads?

Sounds right in terms of the quality we are getting these days. My day is metal filled. I expect it a little when cutting cedar logs, but deck screws destroy a blade. 2-3" in no indication. 2 blades in do I go for a third or put it on the trash pile? What did you get for a setter? I have a cat...

Did you check your drive belt tension? I have an LT40. If the belt is loose and slipping it can cause blade chatter.

    Milling saw recommendations?

Mike sold me a butt ugly blank canvas 394 a few years back that I turned into a milling saw with a little TLC and a few mods and have never looked back. Ugly as sin means you don't worry about beating it like a rented mule.

    Given a locked up 12mm 044

I would just mention that I bought 2 $20 kits and installed the better looking of the two. And as stated above it has a meteor piston. Even though a piece of plating chipped out; the rest looks stable, but then again I didn't notice anything before I installed the jug the first time.

    Given a locked up 12mm 044

I thought I would update this thread with photos since the hybrid has a good amount of run time on it. The saw has probably 10-20 tanks through it at this point. Pulled it down. Meteor piston. Jug Note the chip of plating out on the lower edge of the transfer. That seems to be the only...

    Red lever Stihl

I have a 10mm red lever saw with a KS cylinder. I didn't do anything to the cylinder and put a fresh OEM piston in it. Gave it a dual port muffler cover, a base gasket delete, and a HD 2 filter. Pulls 190 psi and likes to be tuned to 14200. I also have an early 12mm red lever but it had a...

    SOLD MS 241

These would have involved splitting the cases on both saws. I don't see that as a down trade. Anyway he has backed out citing life issues... Be that as it may, the saw is still up for trade. If anyone that has made me a firm project saw offer via PM is still interested please recontact.

    Lil Red Barn

I have a 930 LRB piston; everything I read on the internet lead me to believe the LRB 930 pistons are rebranded Golf pistons. Golf pistons are made in Turkey. Turkey is not an EU member state. Maybe the internet is wrong, maybe the owner doesn't know. The piston has run fine, but I don't run...
